Unconditional Love and Universal Love

For consideration:
Unconditional love is a familiar term
used frequently particularly in recent years.

Unconditional love is known as affection
without any limitations, or love without conditions.

Reference:  People also ask:
What does it mean to love someone unconditionally?
To define unconditional love is to say that a person
loves someone unselfishly, that he or she cares about
the happiness of the other person and will do anything in
return.  In other words, the definition of unconditional love
is “love without conditions”.

The expression at times seems over used and/or perhaps
inappropriately used.  The above description(s) appear(s) correct
for typical usage, however Universal love may, at times,
more accurately describe what was/is truly intended.

Unconditional love tends to suggest/imply a sense of
‘personal, intimate, affectionate connection’ which is generally
associated with human emotion/emotional attachment.
Universal love on the other hand, is unattached,
neutral, impersonal:  Without limits [and or conditions].

Both terms convey love.
Differentiation can take place within the spiritual heart.

Universal love requires little, if any, human
effort, emotion, response, intensity, stepping forward
or aside, nor entails withdrawal.  Instead,
Universal love is an unconscious action/reaction; an
emotion that has zero ‘conditions’; even un-conditions-al.

Reference:  “Universal Love” in Buddhism
The transition from an everyday to an enlightened life is
the transition from non-universal to universal love, and only universal love
can help human beings achieve enlightenment; even the Bodhisattvas
[Mahayana saviors] achieve nirvana only through universal love.

Is there a difference, does it matter?
